SHELBY - Zebby Fay “Wildman” Chapman, 68, of Kings Road, Shelby, died on Friday, February 22, 2013 at Hospice of Cleveland County at Wendover. A native of Rutherford County, he was born on August 12, 1944, a son of the late Ben Chapman and Eva Chapman Withrow. He retired from the State of North Carolina where he worked in Road Construction. He was a member of First Broad Baptist Church of Golden Valley.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Zebby Ray Chapman. He is survived by two sons, Shane Chapman of Shelby and Michael Goode of Sunshine; two daughters, Michelle Eaker of Ellenboro and Julie Goode of Sunshine; one sister, Myrtle Chapman Ayers of Polkville; ten grandchildren; three great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00pm on Sunday, March 03, 2013 at the A.C. McKinney Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow at the First Broad Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00pm-8:00pm on Saturday, March 02, 2013 at McKinney-Landreth & Carroll Funeral and Cremation Service.
