| Airport Hosts Annual Fly-In & Open House, And Unveils New Terminal |

Shelby Municipal Airport has been officially been renamed Shelby-Cleveland County Regional Airport. The airport’s staff and board of directors were proud to flaunt their new terminal building at this past Saturday’s annual Fly-In and Open House, which had over 300 people in attendance. The airport’s Woodson Field can accommodate corporate and general aviation with its’ 5002 foot by 100 foot, fully lighted runway and full parallel taxiway. The new terminal building has a lounge that offers refreshments, restrooms and pilots lounge.The awesome two level building was designed by MBAJ Architecture of Shelby and the interior was designed by Geri Cruickshank Eaker. The new facility expands the ability to better serve corporate and local business clients. The Shelby-Cleveland County Regional Airport is open to the public 8a.m. to 5p.m. Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
