15 Year Celebration Of Dance!
One of the 35 theme dance presentations.
Parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins all came out. It was definitely a big community event. Malcolm Brown auditorium was packed! The special occasion was the 15th anniversary of The Academy Of The Performing Arts annual “Big Recital”.  There were two shows, a matinee and evening performance. This years’ theme was “Hearts United for the Love of Dance”. An amazing 35 acts, each with a different theme, were presented on stage. The final “Rise Up” was the full company together in celebration. The band played and balloons dropped to the excitement and fun of all the dancers. A standing ovation came from a most appreciative audience. Founder, instructor, and owner, Beth Mayo was ecstatic! The former member of “Cats” on Broadway and performer, choreographer, and actor in national and international tours including Radio City Music Hall, the White House and Universal Studios, obviously loves what she does! She thanked and joined her students in a special 15 year celebration of dance!
