325 Respond To Brain Bonanza For Kids

Despite the rainy weather the Brain Bonanza For Kids, held inside the gym at Shelby City Park, 325 kids turned out and were fitted with a free bicycle helmet. The event was co-chaired by Tammy Chapman and Chris Hundley. The larger than expected crowd also got to enjoy the bouncy houses and slides. The Bonanza featured face painting by the North Carolina State Highway Patrol and the Shelby Police Department’s free Ident-A-Kid program. Tammy said the turnout was “fantastic”!
