| 32nd Annual Karate Championships Held |

Donald McCluney’s 32nd annual Mid-Cleveland Karate Championships were held on Saturday, February 25 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The tournament was hosted by the Donald McCluney School of Tae Kwon Do at Shelby City Park Gymnasium. The competition was keen and competitors came from seven states, Utah, New Jersey, South Carolina, Virginia, Tennessee, Georgia, and North Carolina. Categories were Jr. Under Belt Kata Grand, Jr. Black Belt Kata Grand, and Adult Under Belt Kata Grand. Of the six regular event champions, Willie “Foot” Hairston from Maryville, Tennessee won the Black Belt Grand Championship. The DOJO Sport-Karate Circuit has been in existence since 1975.
