A Purr-fect field trip!

Cleveland County 4-H is always looking for ways to help out our community. Recently, 4-H'ers from Cleveland County Science Explorers Club participated in a field trip to the Cleveland County Animal Control. We donated over 35 shoe boxes collected to the shelter as well as taking a tour of the facility. The shoe boxes are used to help keep cats and kittens from laying in their litter boxes.
We learned the importance of spaying and neutering your pets to avoid animal over population. We also learned that you can adopt a pet with prices ranging from $60-$120, which includes spaying, neutering, vaccines, a 30 day insurance policy, and a microchip.
If you would like to adopt an animal and find your next best friend or would like to donate animal supplies, you can contact the shelter at 704-481-9884.
If you would like to learn more information about 4-H, please contact Wendy Turbyfill, 4-H Agent at 704-482-4365. We are always happy to accept a new 4-H'er!
