Aileen Grigg Ridgeway, age 93, died Wednesday, December 06, 2017 at White Oak Manor in Shelby. Born in Cleveland County on July 6, 1924, she was the only child of the late Clarence E. and Vera Williams Grigg. Aileen was a lifelong member of Rehobeth United Methodist Church and of the Order of the Eastern Star for over 30 years. She retired from Parks Cramer in Charlotte where she worked for over 25 years as the first female foreman for the company. She returned to Cleveland County in 1969 to care for her parents. In addition to her parents, Aileen is preceded in death by two husbands, Leon Bradshaw and Arthur R. Ridgeway.

Aileen is survived by several cousins and special friends.

A service to celebrate her life will be held on Friday, December 8, 2017 at 11:00 am at Rehobeth United Methodist Church with Rev. Randi Godfrey officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends an hour before the service from 10:00 am until 11:00 am.

Arthur R. Ridgeway, born July 16, 1920 died on January 14th, 2004. He was a member of Pritchard Baptist Church where he sang in the choir. He was a WWII veteran, having served in the Navy at Pearl Harbor. He also belonged to Steel Creek Masonic Lodge AF&AM and the Order of the Eastern Star #339, Charlotte. Mr. Ridgeway's remains will be interred with Mrs. Ridgeway.
