Albert J Kralovic,

Albert J Kralovic, 81, of Shelby, passed away on Monday, January 16, 2023 at Cleveland Pines Nursing Center, Shelby.

Born in Wheeling, West Virginia on May 13, 1941, he was the son of the late John Joseph Kralovic and Hazel McCown Kralovic. Al was formerly employed with Cleveland County Communications as a dispatcher. He also served as the City of Lawndale Police Chief and chicken farmer. The job he loved the most was being a mate on a fishing boat in Florida during the late 60's. He liked auto racing and working at Thunder Valley Motor Speedway as security guard and flagman.

After his retirement he and his wife Pat had the opportunity to spend twenty years RVing around the country visiting all forty-eight lower states.

Al was a member of Pisgah Baptist Church and retired member of Casar Volunteer Fire Department. He also served his country in the US Navy as a radioman on the USS Sierra a destroyer tender from 1958 to 1961.

He is survived by his wife of fifty-six years Pat Bridwell Kralovic; daughter, Stacey Honeycutt and husband Rodney of Shelby; sister, Penny Bailey of Hendersonville; two grandchildren, Savannah Whitley and husband Brandon and Dylan Honeycutt.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 19, 2023, from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home.
