Albert Lee Parker, age 73, of Shelby, NC passed away Wednesday, December 11, 2019 at Atrium Health-Cleveland in Shelby.
Albert was born October 1, 1946 in Cleveland County to the late Bynum Jethro Parker and Glady Colleen Moore Parker. He worked for the North Carolina Highway Department of many years and most recently for Bennett Trucking. He enjoyed working in the yard and going to auctions. Albert loved taking trips to the mountains with his family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Daryl Wayne Moore.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Darlene Parker; son, Joseph Sullivan of Fredericksburg, Virginia; two brothers, Ralph Parker of Caroleen and James Maynard Parker of Mooresboro. He is also survived by two grandchildren, Amanda Faye Sullivan and Joseph Sullivan, Jr.
A memorial service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 16, 2016 at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Bob Belford officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
