Alberto Zaffuto, 91, of St. Augustine, Florida, passed away October 10, 2025 of natural causes.

Born on June 28, 1934, in Spoleto, Italy, Alberto lived a long and rich life. He joined the Italian Army's signal corps at 17. Alberto subsequently emigrated to his beloved United States, spending most of his life in the California Bay Area and ultimately moving to St. Augustine, Florida. He built a life defined by hard work, a passion for fast cars, good food and wine and love for those closest to him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfonso and Giovanna, and his sister, Angela. He is survived by his devoted wife, Donna Hunt Zaffuto, his beloved son, Andre Zaffuto and grandchildren Gemma and Luca.

Friends and family are invited to a graveside service on October 18, 2025 at 1 pm at Cleveland Memorial Park in Shelby, North Carolina, with a visitation at Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home to follow the service. The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the medical staff and caregivers for their compassion and support during this difficult time.
