Alice Jones Towery, 63, of Shelby, passed away on Wednesday, January 26, 2022.

Born in Cleveland County on July 27, 1958 , she was a daughter of the late Samuel Durant Jones and Shirley Walker Jones. She was retired from Carillon Assisted Living as the Alzheimer's Director and then Activities Director. She was a member of Greater Liberty Shelby.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her brother Mitch Walker.

She is survived by her daughter, Jessica Lance and husband Jeff of Shelby; three grandsons, Sam Lance, Michael Lance and Simon Lance all of Shelby; two sisters, Lynn Jones of Cherryville and Amy Jones of Lawndale; niece Nicole Kaylor and husband Mark of Cherryville and numerous loving great nieces and nephews and friends.

The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall.

The graveside service will be held on Friday, January 28, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Palm Tree United Methodist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Curtis Norris officiating.
