| Alice Wall Humphries, 76, passed away on Thursday, June 28, 2012 at Peak Resources in Cherryville. A native of Robeson County she was the daughter of the late Horace F and Thelma Sargent Wall. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Gary L. Humphries; brothers, Joseph Wall and Max Wall; grandson, Brandon Quintero; and son-in-law Orlando Quintero. Alice spent her working career as a seamstress and waitress. Her favorite pastime was gardening, fishing and spending time with her grandchildren.
Mrs. Humphries is survived by two daughters, Krisandra Champion and Tammy Quintero, both of Shelby; and six grandchildren.
A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00pm on Monday, July 2, 2012 at the Chapel of Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home and Crematory. The Rev. Doug Humphries will be officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral home. At other times the family will be at the home of Kris Champion.
