Allen Eugene Terry, age 61, of Ellenboro, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at his residence.

Eugene was born Wednesday, January 13, 1960 in Cleveland County to the late David Allen Eugene Terry and Hattie Gettys Terry. He worked in concrete construction for most of his life and most recently worked as a supervisor for Concrete Specialty. Eugene was a member of Souls Harbor Tabernacle and served as an usher at the church. He loved reading his Bible and praying every day. Eugene truly had a walk with the Lord. He was also an avid Carp Fisherman.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Wood and brother, Jr. Terry.

Those left to cherish his memory include two sons, Bobby Allen Terry (Abreainn) of Bostic and Andrew Scott Terry (Joy) of Forest City; sisters, Carolyn McDaniel (Gordon) of Ellenboro, Mary Callahan of Mooresboro and Elizabeth "Liz" Terry of Ellenboro; nine grandchildren, Eric Peacock, Angelica Franklin, Jacob Terry, Josh Hodge, Matthew Terry, Caleb Terry, Alexis Terry, Taylor Kimbrell, Casey Kimbrell and a great-grandson, Jaxon Baugh. He is also survived by his fishing buddy, Mark Ingle of Ellenboro and a host of nieces and nephews which includes a special nephew, Timothy Owens.

The funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 pm on Sunday, August 1, 2021 at Souls Harbor Tabernacle in Mooresboro with Reverend Chuck Poole and Mr. Mark Ingle officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the church.
