Allen named Executive Director of the Cleveland County Partnership for Children

Kings Mountain, NC, March 18th, 2019. Rosie Allen, native of Fayetteville, North Carolina is the new Executive Director of the Cleveland County Partnership for Children (CCPFC).
With 25 years of experience in non-profit leadership and public education, Allen is no stranger to the role of Executive Director, having served as Executive Director with Cumberland County Partnership for Children and Rowan County Partnership for Children. Allen also served as the Development Director for North Carolina Partnership for Children and CEO of Prevent Child Abuse North Carolina. Allen considers herself always a teacher and coach. She also led schools' improvement programs for the Cumberland County Schools.
"I am honored to have this great opportunity to serve young children, their families and work with our partners to advance our mission", states Allen. We believe the early years are the most important in a child's life. It is during these years, children develop their intellectual, social emotional and spiritual potentials to begin kindergarten healthy and ready for success in school and in life. Cleveland County is filled with many citizens who know when children develop their God-Given abilities and families are strong: the entire community thrives. Our Board and Staff are highly committed and work with our Partners every day to produce positive results. We are ready to build on our solid foundation and collaborate with others to meet the urgent needs of young children and their parents in our county."
CCPFC was established in the county in 1993. Programs available through CCPFC include; Smart Start, NC Pre-K, Early Head Start and Dolly Parton's Imagination Library.
Sandra Jenkins the Board Chair of CCPFC remarked about Allen's selection as Executive Director, "Ms. Allen joined our team in Cleveland County only a few short months ago, but I am convinced that she has been here forever ", states Jenkins. "The experience and knowledge she brings to the table is unmatchable not to mention her long list of contacts. It is evident that she is self-motivated and strongly dedicated to building relationships with her staff, board, providers, families and community partners. The young children in Cleveland County deserve a voice and they are blessed to have an engaging and congenial ED representing them."
Allen has received the Old North State Award from former Governors Pat McCrory and Beverly Perdue. The Old North State Award is awarded for distinguished service to North Carolina' s citizens. She also received the Association of Junior Leagues Award for being among 100 International Volunteers of Distinction for her work in public school reforms to boost student achievement.
"I love this beautiful part of North Carolina", states Allen. "I have relatives who live just across the state line. I call Fayetteville my hometown. Having grown up in a military family and lived around the world, we had the good fortune to come back to Fayetteville-Fort Bragg."
Allen is the proud mother of two daughters, two step-sons and daughters in law. She especially enjoys being Grandma Rosie to six grandchildren.
