Alma Elizabeth Houser McNeely, 91 of Hull Road, Cherryville, passed away on Thursday, January 12, 2023 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia.

Born in Lincoln County, on December 16, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Daniel Plato Houser and Nancy Ada Elmore Houser. Mrs. McNeely was retired from Ester Mill and attended Fallston Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Alexander McNeely; brother, Forest Houser and sister, Margaret Haynes.

Survivors include her son, Larry McNeely (Nancy); three daughters, Linda Ledford (Tommy), Jane Homesley (Amos P., III) and Wanda Black (Mike) all of Cherryville; three grandchildren, Tracy Ledford (LaDonna), Brandy Yoak (Kelly) and Nikki McNeely; step grandson, Dale Ledford (Jamey) and five great-grandchildren, Morgan Silver, Chase Silver, Gracie Ledford, Olivia Ledford and Zoie Costner and step great-grandson, Dale Ledford, Jr.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 15, 2023 from 1:45PM to 3:00PM at Fallston Baptist Church.

A Funeral Service will be held on Sunday at 3:00PM at Fallston Baptist Church with Dr. Wade Dellinger and Rev. Michael Harrill, Jr. officiating.

The burial will follow the service in the North Brook Baptist Church Cemetery.
