Alta Grace Riffle, age 88, of Forest City, passed away Wednesday, September 9, 2026 at her home.
Grace was born Friday, November 26, 1937 in Rutherford County to the late Herman Coffey and Hester Warlick Coffey. She was a successful business owner and entrepreneur of several local enterprises. Grace was of the Baptist faith and a member of Crestview Baptist Church. She enjoyed flower gardening and working outdoors. Above all, her life's greatest passion was caring for and spending time with her family. Words could never express how much she loved each of them.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Walter Coffey and sisters, Jean Cominos, Daisy Anorga and an infant sister, Aleen Coffey.
Those left to cherish her memory include her sons, Dale Riffle (Mary) of Sevierville, TN and Randy Riffle (Jeanne) of Forest City; sisters, Gloria McAlister (John) and Zelda Epley all of Shelby; grandchildren, Crystal Hull (Bruce), Tyler Riffle (Peyton), Paige Wyant (John Ross), Kenzie Abregu (Kevin), Ryan Riffle (Hollie), Jenna Elkins (Daniel), Riley Riffle (Savannah); eleven great grandchildren and her beloved pet dog, Bella.
A private celebration of life will be held for family and friends.
