Alvin Franklin Tessneer, 76 of Moran Road, Lawndale, passed away on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at Atrium Health - Cleveland in Shelby.
Born July 15, 1944, he was the son of the late Beachard Jovard Tessneer and Maggie Wishon Tessneer. He was retired from Drexel Heritage and was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church in Casar.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of forty-five years, Annie Mae Woodell Tessneer; two brothers, Wesley Tessneer and Ernest Tessneer and two sisters, Alma Randall and Frances Tessneer.
Survivors include three sons, Johnny Tessneer of the home, Donnie Tessneer of Lawndale and Ronnie Tessneer of Gastonia; one daughter, Linda Smith and boyfriend Dennis Crowe of Lawndale and six grandchildren, Jacob Tessneer (Reba), Brittany Tessneer Bailey (Brian), Luke Tessneer (Skylar), Savannah Smith Alley (Jon), Hannah Smith (Wesley) and Devin Smith and six great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 9, 2021 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 Noon at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 9, 2021 at 12:00 Noon at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home Chapel.
Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, masks and social distancing will be required.
The burial will follow the service in the Rose Hill Memorial Park Mausoleum.
