Andre "Jody" Charise Parker

Andre "Jody" Charise Parker, born on February 26, 1970, passed away peacefully on May 28, 2025, at CaroMont Hospital in Belmont, North Carolina.

Andre was preceded in death by his mother, Vera L. Parker; father, Otis Mobley, Jr.; grandmother, Frances H. Grier; grandfather, Otis Mobley, Sr.

He leaves behind his loving wife, Sherry Jordan-Parker; sons, Terray "Tay Tay" Whitehurst (Britney) stationed in Germany and DeAndre "Nick" Parker of Grover, NC; stepchildren, Kristen Bristol Houze of Kings Mountain, NC, Paul Bristol, Jr. of Forest City, NC, Asia Parker and Malasha Parker both of Kings Mountain, NC; one grandson, Aaron Whitehurst; and mother in law, Sylvia Jordan Ross of Kings, Mountain, NC .

Andre is also survived by his siblings; one brother, Daryl B. Parker (Montoya) of Mt. Holly, NC; two sisters, Kimberly P. Anderson (Coleen) of Statesville, NC; Adrienne "Cissy" Odoms (Travis) of Shelby, NC; half sister, Karen Mobley Spencer (Jay) of Raleigh, NC and half brother, Kenneth Mobley (Deborah) of Raleigh, NC; aunts, Ossie Mae Oates of Waco, NC; Annie Parker of Shelby, and Bernell Huskey of Shelby, NC; uncles, Rufus D. Parker (Ruth) of Grover, NC and Albert Mobley of Charlotte, NC; along with a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends, including Terry "Tasty" Petty and Gerrod Davis.

Andre was a 1988 graduate of Shelby High School. During the most difficult time of his life he fought a good fight and persevered through his illness and earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration with a Concentration in Management from Colorado Technical University in October 2024. He proudly served in the United States Navy and later dedicated nearly 20 years at Parker Hannifin in Kings Mountain, where he worked as a lead supervisor.

He joined Light Oak Baptist Church in Shelby at an early age and remained a member until his health began to decline. Andre was deeply dedicated to his faith and always found ways to give back to his community. He especially enjoyed coaching youth football for the Shelby City Park Broncos, where he mentored and inspired young players, encouraging them to always do their best.

Funeral services were held on Thursday, June 5, 2024, at Light Oak Baptist Church, Shelby, NC . Enloe Mortuary was in charge of the services.
