Andrew Jackson "Jack" Henley, Jr.

Andrew Jackson "Jack" Henley, Jr. age 81 of Tot Dellinger Rd. passed away Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at Carolina Care Health & Rehabilitation.

He was born April 21, 1939 in Lincoln County to the late Andrew Jackson Henley, Sr. and Willie Maude Boggs. He was an active member of First Baptist Church where he formerly served as Church Training Director, Bus Driver for Children's Bus Ministry and Triple L's, youth chaperone, handyman ministry, various committees (including properties, COC, food services, and revival), and was a Deacon. He also volunteered for upward games and opened the COC for basketball games.

Jack retired after 36 years from Carolina Freight. After retirement, he played with the Roberts Golf Tour. He enjoyed spending time at the beach, reading Louie L'Amour Westerns and working word search puzzles. His greatest love was time spent with family and especially the grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, AJ and Maude Henley; and brother, Jim Henley.

Survivors include his wife of over 60 years, Jeanette Goins Henley; son, Kenny Henley; daughter, Judy Trammell and husband, Tommy; grandchildren, Ashley Henley Smithey (David), Abbie Trammell Mauney (Trey), and Paige Michelle Henley; great grandchild, Grayson Smithey; brothers, Frank Henley (Danna) and Tim Henley (Deborah); sister-in-law, Jean Henley; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 27, 2021 at 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Vince Hefner officiating. Following the service, there will be a time to speak with the family. Social distancing and masks will be required. Burial will follow at City Memorial Cemetery.
