Angela Lee Ellis

Angela Lee Ellis, 64, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on May 14, 2025.

She was born in Cleveland County on October 21, 1960, to the late Fred Tate and Queen Elizabeth Card.

She served as a dietary aide at White Oak Manor, Shelby, NC, for more than 30 years, where her nurturing spirit and gentle demeanor left a lasting impact on many residents and families.
Angie found joy in her family, whom she cherished deeply. She delighted in their laughter, guided them with wisdom, and instilled in them the values of unconditional love, unity and strength. Her life was a testimony of quiet strength, endless giving, and boundless love.
Her legacy of warmth and selflessness will continue to shine through generations.

Angela was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, William Card.
Angela will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Pamela Huskey, Brandy Huskey, and LaNeisha Belon Huskey; four grandchildren, Serenity Huskey, Kunyjha Surratt, A'Kyra Toms, and Zaybreun Gidney; great grandchild, Skylin Hill; siblings, Ricky Ellis, Margie Maria Card, and Blondie McCoulley; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends, who will honor her memory.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, May 20, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Release Church in Shelby.
