Angela Lee Towery Blanton, 72, of Lawndale, passed away on Monday, September 26, 2022 at Atrium Health - Cleveland, Shelby.

Born in Lincoln County, on January 20, 1950, she was a daughter of the late Hugh Franklin Towery and Ina Grigg Towery. She was retired from the NC Department of Transportation and was a member of First United Methodist Church of Lawndale. She enjoyed to surf fish and trout fish but she loved her two granddaughters more than anything.

She is survived by her husband of fifty-four years Ronald "Ronnie" Edward Blanton; son, Rodney Blanton and wife Melody of Wilmington; sister, Tina Nejberger and husband Serge of Lawndale; and two granddaughters, Megan and Miranda Blanton.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 29, 2022, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm, at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 29, 2022 at 2:00 pm in the Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Glenn Ward officiating.

The burial will follow the service in the Rose Hill Memorial Park.
