Angeline Cardinali Huston "Angie"

Angeline Cardinali Huston "Angie" was born to Giacinto "George" Cardinali and Lettara "Leta" Sacco Cardinali on February 19, 1932, in Ambridge, Pennsylvania. One of six children, she grew up in Ambridge; and in 1949, graduated from Ambridge High School where she met her loving husband Harold Wisler Huston (a/k/a Sam). After Harold finished serving in the Korean War, Harold and Angie moved to Florida where he attended Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and studied Aviation Mechanics. After school, Harold landed a job with Southern Airways in Atlanta, Georgia. They made their home in College Park, Georgia. raised three sons there, and Angie remained there for over 50 years. In addition to being a devoted mother and wife, she had a reputation for being a hard worker and was very well loved by her co-workers and customers alike at Winn Dixie stores in and around the area where she worked full time for 20 years.

In June 2006, Angie moved to Shelby, North Carolina to be closer to family. In Shelby, she was actively involved with the YMCA, St. Mary's Catholic Church, and the Shelby Welcome Wagon organization (at one time serving as head of the Sunshine Committee). Angie had an infectious smile and was well known for her musical talent and her ability to play piano by ear. Although she could not read a single note, she could sit down at the piano and play practically anything beautifully! She adored cooking for others and was famous for her tasty Italian and southern dishes, casseroles, soups, and desserts. Quick to laugh or tell a funny story, she will be remembered fondly for her good nature and her willingness to join in whatever fun was planned, especially involving her grandchildren. She enthusiastically attended sporting events, recitals, theatre shows, and graduations. She also loved trips to Disney World theme parks, trips to the beach, and being with family for holidays or any other kind of celebration. She found real joy in showing family and friends her skill at making delicious, traditional homemade macaroni, pierogis, or stuffed artichokes while creating lasting memories and impressions on all who observed.

Angie is survived by her adoring sons Mark Harold (Cynthia a/k/a Bibby), Jay Robert (Lucinda), and Lee Michael (Lyn); grandchildren Paige Alexis Jones (Adam) and her five stepchildren, Blair Lea Huston, Reece Spencer Huston, Ann Lauren Huston, Ali Marie Huston, John Carter Huston, and Julia Grace Huston. She is survived by her siblings: Sylvia Heater and her child John Halicek; Lucille Benaquisto and her children Dan Benaquisto (Joann), Lisa Clayton (Skip), and Carla Ward (Jason); Corina Taylor (Eugene) and their children Joyce Webster (Barry), Scott Taylor, Ron Taylor (Amy), and Lance Taylor (Aimee); Carl Cardinali (Claire) and their child Lori Cardinali; and Jim Cardinali (Carol) and their child Richard Cardinali (Michelle), as well as her nieces' and nephews' many offspring.

She was predeceased by her parents Giacinto and Leta and her husband Harold.
