Ann was born July 7, 1941 in Trousdale County, Tennessee to the late Robert Layton Franklin and Blanche Elizabeth Cook.  She worked as a CNA most of her life and worked for Henderson Care for many years.  She was a Baptist.  Ann enjoyed sewing, painting and having a good time.  She had a wonderful sense of humor. 

     In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Carl Foster; one daughter, Patricia Powers and several half brothers and sisters.

     Left to cherish her memory are three daughters, Deborah Shuler of Forest City, Cheryl Martin and husband, Jimmy of Ft. White, FL, Laurie Kitchen and husband, Gary of Harris; one sister, Virginia Pait of Pensacola, FL. She is also survived by nine grandchildren a host of great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. 

     Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 20, 2012 at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend George Whitmire officiating.  Interment will follow in Harris First Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.

     The family wishes to thank the doctors and nurses in the Rutherford Regional ICU for their compassionate care.
