Ann Eleanor Caruso Quire

Ann Eleanor Caruso Quire, age 80, died Friday, March 2, 2018 at the Testa Family Hospice in Kings Mountain, NC. Born in New York City, on October 10, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Pasquale Caruso and Antoinette LaPeruta Caruso. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Charles "Chuck" Quire. She was retired from Wachovia Bank.

Ann was a lifelong practicing Roman Catholic. She was a proud and devout member of St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church for 45 years. Serving her church provided immeasurable fulfillment to her. She was especially honored to serve as a Sacristan and an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion. Ann was very devoted to shut-ins putting much effort into bringing flowers, small gifts and most importantly spending time with them exemplifying true Christianity. She contributed her time and talent to various areas of church work, too many to mention, all in honor of Jesus Christ. Most will especially remember her dedication to St. Joseph.

Ann is survived by two daughters, Patti Hunnicutt and her husband Barry of Shelby and Susan Atkins of New York; two nephews, two nieces and what she called the "loves of her life": four grandchildren and seven great-granddaughters.

Funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m., on Thursday, March 8, 2018 at St. Mary Help of Christian Catholic Church, with the Rev. Father Michael Kotter celebrant. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 7, 2018, from 6 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. followed by rosary at Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel. Burial will be in New York.

Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home and Crematory is serving the family of Mrs. Quire.
