Ann Hamrick Elliott
 Mrs. Ann Hamrick Elliott, 79, Boiling Springs, went home to be with Lord on Saturday, August 18, 2012 at her residence with her family at her side. A native of Cleveland County, Mrs. Elliott is the daughter of the late Clifford Elijah Hamrick, Sr. and Louise Whitaker Hamrick. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, Elijah Bly and Gallenah Green Hamrick.  Mrs. Elliott graduated from Meredith College in 1955 and later graduated with a Master’s of Education from Appalachian State University.  She was an elementary school teacher for 32 years at Boiling Springs Elementary.  She was a member of the Delta Kappa Gamma Education Sorority.  She was an active member of the Shelby Junior Charity League where she served as Vice-President as well as President.  She also served as a Hospice Cleveland County board member, an active member of Boiling Springs Baptist Church and the Willing Workers Sunday school class, and a former member of the Philsonian Book Club where she served as President.   Ann enjoyed traveling with her family and spending time at the beach.  She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Mrs. Elliott is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Bill Elliott of the home; one daughter, Patti Elliott Ellis and her husband Bill; granddaughter, Elizabeth Ann Ellis and her special friend, Dixon Crowder; brother, Bud Hamrick and his wife Mary Etta Hamrick;  sister, Carol Hunsinger; and several loving nieces and nephews.

The family extends a special thank you to her caregivers, Latonda Ross and Cle McGee, her doctor and friend, Dr. Sangnya Patel, and Hospice Cleveland County for their loving care and support.

A celebration of life service will be held at 7:00pm on Monday August 20, 2012 at the Boiling Springs Baptist Church with Dr. Buddy Corbin and Dr. Carroll Page officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00pm at the church prior to the service in the Life Enrichment Center. Interment will be at 11:00am on Tuesday, August 21, 2012 in Cleveland Memorial Park.
