Ann Kendrick Lane

SHELBY- Ann Kendrick Lane, 94, died Monday, April 24, 2017, at her home. A native of Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late Joseph "Yates" and Selena Lowery Kendrick. Ann was a charter member of Putnam Baptist Church, where she sang in the choir for more than 50 years, and a member of the Golden Years. She was an avid Atlanta Braves fan, Rook player, and was a wonderful cook, who enjoyed cooking for her family. She had a great love for her grand and great-grandchildren.

PRECEDED: In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Jack Lane; and sisters, Mayme Gantt and Louise Kendrick.

SURVIVED: She is survived by her son, Keith Lane and wife Shelia of Grover; daughter, Tamara Lane Valentine and husband Mike of Statesville; sisters, Sophie Goforth and Mary Jo Blanton of Shelby; grandchildren, Carissa Valentine Burchett and husband Gary Fowler of Wake Forest, Michael Lane and wife Susan of Boone, and Phillip Lane and wife Brandi of Shelby; great-grandchildren, Jason Burchett, Lane Bowman, and Bennett Lane; nephew, Robert Crawford and wife Sherry of Granite Falls; niece, Rebecca Hare and husband Chris of Charlotte; a few great nieces and nephews; her Chick-fil-A friend, Rita Clark; her caregivers, Susie Cook and Macie Wylie; and a special thank you to Hospice of Cleveland County for all their love and support they extended.

VISITATION: The family will receive friends Tuesday, 6-8pm, at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home, and other times at her home.

FUNERAL SERVICES: Funeral services will be held 2pm, Wednesday, at Putnam Baptist Church

OFFICIATING: Revs. Bryan Glisson and Gary Marburger

BURIAL: Will be held in Cleveland Memorial Park
