Anna Mae Waterhouse Johnson, 88, passed away on Wednesday, November 20, 2024 at the Hospice House in Greenwood, SC.

Mrs. Johnson was born on January 15, 1936 in Carlisle, Pennsylvania a daughter of the late Thomas Isaac Waterhouse and Gertrude Mae Nye Waterhouse. A graduate of Pilot High School in Thomasville, NC, she was a former vet tech at Boulevard Animal Hospital. Mrs. Johnson was a member of her beloved Lawndale Methodist Church where she was a former choir member and member of the Methodist Women. She was also a proud member of a senior adult group at the church called the Dirty Dozen.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Doyt Lee Johnson; three brothers, Bob, Tommy and Dickie Waterhouse; a daughter-in-law Kris Johnson and her beloved canine companion Penny.

Survivors include her four sons, Phil Johnson and wife Melissa of Chappells, SC; Kirby Johnson of Hephzibah, GA; Scott Johnson and wife Vickie of Shelby; Douglas Johnson and wife Megan of Cheshire, CT; two sisters, Jenny Foster and Sue Sowers both of Thomasville; 11 grandchildren, Brandon, Ashley, Daniel, Kelly, Devon, Andy, Tyler, Will, Lucas, Matthew and Meighan; 14 great-grandchildren, Abram, Addy, Grayson, Carson, McKinley, Coleman, Colton, Ella, Wynn, Austin, Wyatt, Everett, Cash and Kahn. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews and cousins

The family will receive friends from 4:00PM to 6:00PM on Sunday, November 24, 2024 at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home. There will also be a visitation on Monday, November 25, 2024 from 12:45PM to 1:45PM prior to the service.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM on Monday, November 25, 2024 at Lawndale Methodist Church with her grandson Lucas Johnson officiating.

Burial will follow the service at Rose Hill Memorial Park in Fallston.
