Anne Ide Crothers, 83, passed away Friday, November 11, 2022 at Atrium Health Cleveland.

Born in Arlington, Virginia on November 10, 1939 she was the daughter of the late Robert Elmore Ide and Virginia Louise Royall Ide. In addition to her parents, Anne is preceded in death by her husband of 57 years Austin "Jim" Crothers. Anne is also preceded in death by her two brothers Allen Baxter Ide and Henry Clay Ide. Anne served as a public school media specialist in the Charlotte Mecklenburg School System and later Cleveland Community College. She will be remembered for her love of books, playing bridge and sewing quilts that were shared with her family and friends.

Anne is survived by her two children, Dr. A. Lane Crothers and wife Martha of Normal, IL and daughter, Cindy Dominick and husband Greg of Spartanburg, SC, as well as, five grandchildren, Shealy, Cecelia "Celia", Edith "Edie", Austin, Virginia "Gigi" and many loving nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Lisa, Brittney and Lilley Hoppes for their love and support for Anne and Jim over the years.

A memorial service to honor her life will be held 1:00 PM Tuesday, November 22, 2022 in the Chapel of Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home. The family will receive friends following the memorial service.
