Annie Beth Hoyle Hord

Annie Beth Hoyle Hord, 82, passed away Thursday, December 28, 2023 at her home in Cherryville, NC.

Born in Cleveland County on March 6, 1941 she was the daughter of the late Luther Raymond Hoyle and Hattie Abernathy Hoyle. In addition to her parents, Ann is preceded in death by her husband Everett Hord, brothers, Gene, Bill, Coleman, Don and Dale Hoyle, and sisters, Joann Lovelace, Linda Willis, Margie Vess and step mother Myrtle Hoyle.

Ann's legacy will endure through her profound love for the Lord that she instilled in her family. Ann loved time spent gardening, cherished moments with her grandchildren, lakeside cookouts, leisure rides with her dogs in the golf cart, and feeding the ducks. Ann loved to go and had an adventerous spirit.

Ann is survived by her son Thomas Hord (Glenna), daughter Beth Thomas (Matt), Grandchildren Brian Hord (Joy), Chris Hord, Harrison Newton, as well as, great grandchildren, Gage, Ella, Rhaya and Cole Hord. Also left to cherish her memory is her sisters, Sue Thornburg, Janet Helms (Michael), Kathy Weaver and step daughter Cindy Clark.

The family would like to extend a special thank you for the exceptional care provided to Ann by Michelle Crance and Victoria Crance.

Additionally, a special thanks to the caretakers from Center Well Home Health, Palliative Care and Hospice Cleveland County.

A funeral service will be held 3:00 PM Saturday, December 30, 2023 at Buffalo Baptist Church in Shelby with Rev. Dustin Mace and Rev. Macky Turner officiating. Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends and refreshments in the fellowship hall following the graveside service.

Memorial donations may be made in her memory to Buffalo Baptist Church Building Fund: 105 Buffalo Church Rd. Shelby, NC 28150.
