Annie Lee Patterson Wright, 87, of Smyrna, SC, passed away on December 8, 2024 surrounded by her family.

Annie was preceded in death by her husband, Billy G. Wright, her parents, Mancy Patterson and Pearl Peterson Patterson, brothers, Donald Patterson, Lefoy Patterson, Garland, Patterson, and Tom Patterson, and sisters, Kathleen White, Nanzy White, and Ione Millwood.

Surviving Annie are her children, Teresa Hambright, (Knox), Randall Wright (Lynn), Alice Patrick (Kenneth), and Bobby Wright (Kim). Also surviving are eight grandchildren, Tasha Allen, Brittany Puttman, Hunter Wright, Brandon Early, Keven McDaniel, Kelly Childers, Dustin Wright, and Ashley Varner. She has been blessed with 17 great-grandchildren and another one on the way.

Annie was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to all who knew her and she loved life and enjoyed the simple things in life. She enjoyed sitting on her front porch on pretty days and watching her birds and squirrels. She loved working in her yard all year. She would cut grass, rake leaves, plant flowers, bushes, and even planted a pine forest in front of her house. She had a green thumb and could grow anything. You could hear her stereo playing loudly when windows were open as she worked in her yard or sat on the porch. She loved gospel, country, and bluegrass and went to many bluegrass festivals over the years. When the weather didn't allow her to be outdoors, she spent her time quilting, making beaded keychains, flower pot holders, embroidering, coloring or cross stitching. She made family and friends cross-stitched Christmas ornaments with their names on them. She loved going to church and when she couldn't go any longer, she would listen to CD's that Duane Porter would make for her. She also loved and enjoyed going places with her special friend and cousin, Helen Hardin. Annie will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Special thanks to her Empyrean Hospice staff.

Visitation will be Thursday, December 12, 2024 from 12:00 - 1:00 pm at Cherokee Falls Missionary Fellowship Church, 207 First Street in Cherokee Falls. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 pm at Cherokee Falls Missionary Church with Rev. Gregg Martin and Rev. Jeff Gilfillan officiating. Austin McDaniel, Brandon Earley, Kevin McDaniel, Dustin Wright, Brayden Wright, Roger Childers, and Bradley Childers will serve as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Cherokee Falls Missionary Fellowship Church, 207 First Street, Blacksburg, SC 29702 or Gloryland Baptist Church, 2785 Legion Road, Smyrna, SC 29743.

The family will be at the residence on Wednesday, December 11, 2024 from 3:00-7:00 pm for those who would like to stop by.
