Annie Ruth Jones Hopper, a native of Cleveland County, NC, departed this life for her eternal home on Friday, February 9, 2024. Annie was born October 28, 1947, to the late Guy and Minnie Jones.

Annie retired after 38 years of service as a housekeeper and dietary aid at White Oak Manor of Shelby. Before her illness, Annie loved to cook, dance and most of all; she loved to dress.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one son, Alfonzo "Zoe" Jones; four brothers, John Lewis, George Lewis, Will J. Jones, and West Carson; and a sister-in-law that she considered a real sister, Elizabeth Haynes.

She leaves to cherish fond memories three sons, Avery Jones, Barron Jones, and Spencer Jones; a granddaughter that she raised as a daughter, Tamara Petty; a bonus daughter that helped her throughout her illness, Nikki Scott. She also leaves eight grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, March 12 at S.T. Enloe Mortuary and Chapel at 3 pm with visitation taking place 30 minutes prior to the service. Burial will be in Sunset Cemetery.
