Annie Sue Roper Oaks, 66 of 3526 Bridges Dairy Road, Shelby passed away, Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at Carolinas Medical Center, Charlotte.

Born August 27, 1950 in Cleveland County, she was a daughter of the late Joseph Howard Roper and Missy Swink Roper. She was retired from Synder Paper.

She is survived by her husband of 18 years, Dewey Lee Oaks; son, Howard Ogles of Polkville; daughter, Chrystal Alaimo of Indian Trail; three step daughters, Brandi Powell of Belwood, Michelle McFalls of Shelby and Tiffany Oaks of Belwood; sister, Louise Minton of Saw Mills; ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, Saturday at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home

A funeral service will be 2:00 PM, Saturday at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jackie Price officiating.

Burial will be private.
