Annie Wilson Baxter

Mrs. Annie Wilson Baxter departed this life on Thursday, August 29, 2019 at her residence. She was born on June 26, 1942 in Cleveland County, NC to the late Ernest Wilson and Annie Pearl Maddox Byers.

Mrs. Baxter was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church and formerly a member of Hopper's Chapel Baptist Church for many years. She was a very good cook and was always the life of any party or gathering. She loved to shop and loved angels. But, it was the love that she had in her heart for her children and grandchildren that meant the most to her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two daughters, Terry Elois Huskey and Sandy Wilson; one sister, Essie Johnson and a step-daughter, Janet Marie Baxter.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband Clinton L. Baxter; two daughters, Keshya Huff (Tony) of Shelby and Revonda Ponder of Spindale, NC; one step-daughter, Rita M. Baxter of Gaffney, SC; one stepson, Robert Dodd (Pearl) of Simpsonville, SC; her grandchildren, Ryan Wilson, Danielle Wilson, Diamond Ponder, Maya Huff, Latonya Baxter, Devonté Ponder and Damarius Ponder; a very special friend, Debbie Chapman; many children whom she helped rear and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2019 at 1:00 PM at S.T. Enloe Memorial Chapel in Shelby. The family will receive friends from 12:30 PM until 1:00 PM at the chapel and at other times at the home of her daughter, 6009 Pendale Drive, Shelby, NC.
