Anthony Dale Ervin, 38, of Kings Mountain, North Carolina, passed away unexpectedly on July 14, 2024.

Born in Gaston County, he was son of Jimmy Dale Ervin and Ruby Rogers and was preceded in death by grandparents Leonard E. Scoggins and Robert and Mary Ervin and his aunt Sharon Baliles. Anthony was a self-employed small engine repairman, fixing anything from weedeaters and chainsaws to go-karts and four-wheelers. If it had an engine, he loved working on it--especially if he could get it running wide open to see how fast it could go. He was passionate about go-karting and could often be found riding his with a grin on his face. He also loved working on sailboats, and was at peace when he was on the water. Anthony loved any type of fishing and could easily spend all day at the carp lake with a line in. He also enjoyed playing pool and cards; he particularly enjoyed a good game of poker. Anthony was a loving brother, son, and grandson. He was the best uncle. He had a big heart and a big sense of humor. He loved to make you laugh. Anthony's smile and love will be missed dearly by all who held him close.

Nephew: Jeremy Reynolds
Anthony is additionally survived by two great-nieces and three great-nephews.

FUNERAL SERVICE: Friday, July 19th, 2024 at 3:00 P.M. in the Ollie Harris Memorial Chapel with Rev. Timmy Whitaker officiating.

VISITATION: Friday, July 19th, 2024 prior to the service from 2:00 to 3:00 P.M. in the parlor of Harris Funeral Home.
