Anthony Jerome Clark, 'Stone Man', 57, departed to his life eternal home on Thursday, November 2, 2023, at Atrium Health Cleveland, Shelby, NC.

He was born on December 2, 1965, to the late Lewis Calvin 'LC' Clark and Leila Mae Odoms Clark.

Anthony was a member of Pine Grove Primitive Baptist Church of Lawndale. He worked at Belwood Quality Frame Furniture until his illness. Anthony also worked at the Barbershop on Suttle Street as a helper and keeping the customers happy. He was a 1984 graduate of Burns High School. He loved football with his favorite team being the Pittsburgh Steelers. His favorite basketball team was the NC Tarheels.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Jimmy Clark and sister, Frances Clark.

Left to cherish fond memories are two sisters, Jo Ellen Bradshaw of Lawndale and Lisa Jean Clark of Shelby; five nephews, Lucentio Clark (Tianna), Morrio Clark (China), Josh Clark, and Jaquon Clark, all of Lawndale; and Angelo Lee of Shelby; three nieces, Anisha Clark of Shelby, Tyiesa Logan of Hickory, and Rachel Camp of Forest City; aunts, Annie Mae Ussery, Martha Clark, Lillie Clark, and Julia Smith; uncle, Ambrose Haynes; special friends, Kamilla Cannon (baby momma), Travis Hopper, Scotty Haynes, Rekae Clark, Dean Littlejohn, Quentin Lee, Marlon Vinson(caregiver).

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, November 12, 2023, at Pine Grove Baptist Church at 2:00 p.m. Burial will take place at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. and also at 107 Geneva Lane, Shelby.
