Anthony "Tony" Mazza, age 84, of Chesnee, SC died Thursday, May 2, 2019 at Spartanburg Regional Hospice.
Tony was born July 24, 1934 in Chester, Pennsylvania to the late Thomas Mazza and Clara Sopo Mazza. Tony worked as a merchandise stocker at Ingles and for Wal-Mart for many years and was of the Catholic faith. As a young man, he worked for his parent's Italian restaurant in New Jersey. He loved spending time with his grandkids and serving as a volunteer at Mary Black Hospital. Tony also enjoyed listening to opera music.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded by his son, Calvin Teseniar; brother, Joseph Mazza and two sisters, Josie Winkles and Millie Kirby.
Those left to treasure his memory include his wife, Shirley Greene Mazza; three daughters, Kim Mazza of Utah, Carolyn Gurung of Cliffside, Helen Price and husband, Billy of Mooresboro; son, Danny Mazza of Chesnee and a sister, Angela Gambacort of Tom's River, New Jersey. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at Harrelson Funeral Home with Reverend Ernie Cole officiating.
