April Nolan Harrill, 83, of Shelby, passed away Sunday, July 26, 2026 at White Oak Manor Kings Mountain. She was born in Gaston County March 8, 1943 to the Late Rev. Archie Renard Nolen and Lois Anderson. She was also preceded in death by her husband of nearly 60 years, Larry Newton Harrill and infant daughter, Wendy Harrill. Her brother, Rodney Nolen also preceded her in death.

A Memorial Service will be held at Flint Hill Baptist Church at a later date.

April is survived by her sons, Joseph Mark Harrill and David Leroy Harrill both of Shelby. Grandchildren, Andrew, Isaiah, Tywan, Jacob, Kacey, Katie, Dixie, and step-grandson, Derrell. She is also survived by her Sister-in-law, Jane Nolen of Boiling Springs.
