BLACKSBURG - Argie Griffin Barker, 76, passed away on Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at her home in Blacksburg, SC. Born in Gaffney, SC, she was the daughter of the late William and Ethel Harris Griffin.

Argie was a member of Shelby New Bethel Church and retired from The Shelby Fish Camp. She had also been a beautician for many years.

She is survived by her son, Troy Barker and daughter, Rena Barker, both of Blacksburg, SC; a sister, Carol Griffin Rabb of Shelby, NC; four grandchildren, Travis Humpheries, Thomas Humpheries, Heather Barker and Carol Ann Barker all of Blacksburg; two great-grandchildren, Matthew Humpheries and Gracie Barker both of Shelby; two nieces, Wanda Fischbach and husband and Gwen Ledford and husband all of Shelby; a nephew, Keith Rabb and wife of Shelby.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at 2pm at Shelby New Bethel, 706 Hamrick Street, Shelby, NC.
