Arizona Pruitt Hamby, 100 of 1150 Warlick Road, Lawndale passed away
Wednesday, January 19, 2017 at Carolinas Healthcare System-Cleveland.

Born April 14, 1916 in Cleveland County, to the late John Pruitt and Mary
Smith Pruitt. She was retired from Shadowline and was a member of Pleasant
Hill United Methodist Church. Mrs. Hamby was a nanny to sixteen kids whom
she adored.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Clinton
Hamby; five brothers, Edgar Estridge, Leonard, Russell and Fred Pruitt and
three sisters, Ellen Pruitt, Ann Taylor and Vernie Morgan.

Survivors include two daughters, Doris Hamby of Lawndale and Shirley Earl
and husband, Harold of Casar; sister, Lillie Bridges of Salisbury; two
grandchildren, Mitchell Earl and wife, Wendy and Tommy Earl and wife, Donna;
four great-grandchildren, Tiffany Burger and husband, Ed, Joshua Earl and
fiancee, Kri McGoven, Samantha Houghton and husband, Michael and Kandace
Davis and husband, Sean and seven great-great grandchildren, Riley, Harmony,
McKinley, River Ann, Scarlett, Bo and Landon.

Visitation will be 6:00pm to 7:30pm, Sunday at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be 2:00pm, Monday at Pleasant Hill United Methodist
Church with Rev. Cindy Nanney officiating. The body will be placed in the
church thirty minutes before the service.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
