Arney Clarence Wyant

Arney Clarence Wyant

In the year 1947 on July 12 God created a son for the parents of Arney
Shuford Wyant and wife Edith Mae Goodnight Wyant. The youngest child of
thirteen children, Arney was baptized on August 17, 1947 at Trinity Lutheran
Church into the Christian faith of God.

At the young age of nineteen he was called to serve his country. He was
drafted into the US Army on August 19, 1966. Arney served eight weeks in
basic training at Fort Bragg in Fayetteville, NC. Later he was stationed at
Fort Knox, Kentucky and Fort Lee Virginia where he attended Quartermaster
School and trained in company armor. Arney served in Vietnam from April
1967 to May 1968.

In 1973 he met the love of his life and was married on June 14, 1975 to
Roseann Patricia "Patty" Houser and it was "till death do us part." Arney
enjoyed playing golf and being a caretaker to God's honeybees. He was
employed with Comm-Scope nearly thirty years and forced into early
retirement due to company shutdown from Newton to Illinois.

Arney was heartbroken to hear the news that prostate and bone cancer had
stricken him in 2014 . Arney remained active as long as possible.
