Aubrey "Aubie" Dewayne Canipe, 65, of Vale passed away on Saturday, December 13, 2025 at his home.

He was born in Lincoln County on April 28, 1960, and was a son of the late Sam Canipe Jr. and Dorothy Eva Parker Canipe. Aubie was retired from the City of Cherryville and was a member of Hebron Church, Vale. He was a member of the North Brook Gang and enjoyed riding motorcycles.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister, Maisie Wallace and husband William, brothers-in-law, Gene Houser and Carroll Craig and infant niece, Lorina Huffman.

He is survived by three sisters, Winona Houser of Vale, Gail Styles of Lincolnton and Donna Norman and husband, Arnold of Vale and numerous loving nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Friday, December 19, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Hebron Church. At other times the family will be at the home of his sister, Winona Houser, 2568 Smokey Dan Kennel Road, Vale, NC 28168.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 19, 2025, at 3:00 PM at Hebron Church with the Rev. Paul Simpson officiating.

Burial will follow at church cemetery.
