Author shares blessing and hope in book
Pat Snyder and husband
“Your husband has Lewy Body Dementia” How do you cope when you hear those words?
Is there hope? How do you find joy?
Wife, caregiver, and author Pat Snyder will share how she found hope and blessings in a journey with a progressive illness that changed her life at the next meeting of the family caregiver group at Life Enrichment Center Adult Day Health Service in Shelby, Tuesday, September 17.
Mrs. Snyder, who has written about her experience in a book titled “Treasures in the Darkness,” will tell how she didn’t settle for a gloom-and-doom-life-is-over approach.
The event is free of charge and open to anyone in the community who is dealing with dementia. It meets the third Tuesday of every month (except December) 5:30-7:00pm at 110 Life Enrichment Blvd., Shelby. For more information, call the center at 704-484-0405.
