Christmas vacation is over and the New Year has begun with the return of kids going back to school. At Elizabeth Elementary School in Shelby, these second graders began their first art class. Their teacher, Sharon Stahoviak, challenged the students with creative and learning projects. Using art to teach math for example. The class had a great time being back together with friends, as you can tell by their happy faces. The holiday vacation was a fun time, but they do like being back in school. As a reminder, please be careful when driving and obey the rules of the road around school grounds and buses.
