Barbara Adams, age 72, of Lawndale, passed away on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 surrounded by her loving family.

Barbara was born on October 6th, 1951 and was the daughter of the late Mozon and Lucille Heffner. Barbara was also preceded in death by her brothers, Charles and Tommy Heffner.

Left to cherish the memory of this loving woman is her husband Jerry Adams: two sons, Richard Adams and his wife, Crystal, and Jerel Adams; two daughters, Stephanie Davidson, and Annie Clack and her husband, Michael; one special son-in-law, Rusty Davidson; one brother, Johnny Heffner; 11 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.

A funeral service to celebrate the life of Barbara will be held on Sunday, March 24, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Plainsview Baptist Church with the Rev. Wayne Key and Rev. Allen Davis officiating. Entombment will follow the service in the Rose Hill Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 23, 2024 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home.

Her husband Jerry would like to express his sincerest appreciation to their daughters and granddaughters for their around the clock care for Barbara while she was sick in these final days. Barbara was a wonderful and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. When asked to describe her in "one word," these are the words that were spoken; precious, beautiful, selfless, role model, honest, loving, caring, giving, rock, genuine, compassionate, amazing, warrior, contagious smile, tender hearted, and most of all, "a loving heart like Jesus". There are many virtuous and capable women in the world, but you surpassed them all.
