Barbara Ann Haynes, age 79, of Cliffside, passed away Thursday, April 22, 2021 at the Hospice House of the Carolina Foothills in Forest City, NC

She was a native of Cleveland County and the daughter to the late Marcus Perry and Ethel Lovelace Ellis. She was a member of Patterson Springs Baptist Church. She retired from the cafeteria at Gardner Webb University, loved to garden and will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Barbara was preceded in death by her husband John Franklin Haynes, two sisters; Christine Leonhardt and Eula Ramsey, two brothers; Carl Ellis and JP Ellis, one great granddaughter Summer Johnson and a son in law Donnie Splawn.

She is survived by her daughter Debbie Haynes Splawn, one granddaughter Leigh Ann Johnson (Bobby), one great grandson Julian Johnson and two great granddaughters; Iris Johnson and Isla Johnson.

The graveside service will be 3pm Monday, April 26, 2021 at Cleveland Memorial Park in Boiling Springs, NC with Reverend Steve Waters officiating. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to Hospice of the Carolina Foothills at P.O. Box 336 Forest City, NC 28043.
