Barbara Ann Lockhart Roberts departed this life for her eternal home early Sunday morning on February 2, 2025 at her residence.

She was born on February 22, 1939 in Earl, NC to the late Theodore and Mary Gill Lockhart.
Barbara Ann began her walk with the Lord early in life at Fairview AME Zion Church, later transitioning to worship and grow in Christ with her family at the Divine True Holiness Church of God in Blacksburg SC. On June 28, 1963 she said the magical words, "I do" marrying Amos Belton Roberts, Jr. Upon marrying Amos, she joined St. Peter Missionary Baptist Church where she served as deaconess alongside her husband until she was no longer able to. During the early years of their marriage, as they raised young children, she was devoted to assisting in any youth activities her children were involved in. She was a true missionary willing to meet the needs of others, dedicating time to her family and friends staying in touch with them near and far. Cooking and baking became a hobby of hers, while also being able to share her passion with others.
Barbara Ann was a 1959 graduate of Granard High School in Gaffney SC. She entered the workforce and worked a number of jobs. She worked many years at Clevemont Mills where she retired and developed some lasting friendships. Upon retiring, she took on many different roles and tasks including participating in activities at the Patrick Senior Center where she was able to carry on her fun, loving display and affection for people. She also enjoyed caring for and spending time with her grandchildren and traveling with family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Silvester Kent, nine siblings; Excel, Charles, William, Esther, Eddie, Deanna, Louis, Frances, and Ronnie; five in-laws; Betty, Luther, Erma, Leon and Edna, father and mother in-law, Belton Sr and Lula Mae.
Barbara Ann leaves to cherish fond memories, husband Amos Belton Roberts, Jr of 61 years. Daughter, Evelyn Pressley (Curtis), three sons; Barney Roberts (Michelle), Phillip Roberts (Chasity), Derrick Roberts(Letitia). Sixteen grandchildren; Ryan, Quintessa, J.R., Brittany, Brittnee, Bionca, Jerdon, Belton, Devin, Matt, Sergio, Zavier, Zeldon, Donte, Amaya, Zamari. Thirteen great-grands; her devoted siblings, Margaret Hames (Willie), Theodore Lockhart (Alzenia), Benjamin Lockhart (Henrean), Mary S. Lockhart, Leatha Lockhart; In-laws; Melvin Sizemore, Elwood Roberts, Bobbie Lockhart, Mahalia Roberts, Priscilla Lockhart, Deborah Roberts, Debra Lockhart, James Roberts, Sr. (Jackie), Hazel Logan (Geraldine), Bobby Houze (Dora), Theron Feemster, Jr. (Kathy), Odus Roberts (Patricia)a goddaughter, Roshawn, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, February 9, 2025 at St. Peter Missionary Baptist Church in Grover, NC at 1:00 pm.
