Barbara Jean Rich Miller, 75 of Ellenboro, NC went to be with her heavenly Father on Tuesday, July 20, 2021. A native of Rutherford County, Barbara was the daughter of the late Thomas Eli and Betty Hyder Rich. She was a loving, caring and giving person who loved her family and neighbors. Barbara would feed and care for all stray animals and see that they had shelter. Her hobby was going to flea markets and thrift stores, and with her incredible artistic talent, she could turn trash into something beautiful. Her family members were blessed by the treasures she created.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 52 years, Howard Mack Miller of the home; sons, Howard Mack Miller II and companion Teri Cannon of Rock Hill, SC, Marty Jay Hardin and wife Kathryn of Albany, NY; four grandchildren, Mariam and Madison Hardin and MiKayla and Mackenzie Miller; brother, Thomas Eli Rich "JR" of Wellford, SC; sister Jolene Rich Porter and husband Tommy of Bostic, NC; special aunt, Pat Childers and husband Dennis of Rutherfordton, along with many nieces, nephews and extended family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Helen Dianne Sprouse.

A casual gathering of family and friends will be held Sunday, July 25, 2021 at Crowe's Mortuary, 118 College Avenue, Rutherfordton, NC 28139 from 3PM until 5 PM with Rev. Sam Burleson officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of choice.
