Barbara Sanders Wilson, 85 of Shelby, NC passed away on Thursday, April 24, 2025, at Wendover Hospice House in Shelby.

She was born in Cleveland County, NC, to the late Quincy Sanders and Georgia Ann Ellis Sanders on September 1, 1939.
Mrs. Wilson attended Cleveland High School and relocated to Newark, NJ, in the early 1970's. She became a Certified Nursing Assistant and worked as a Medical Technician in health care for many years before moving back to Shelby in the early 2000's. She joined Shiloh Baptist Church after her return.
Mrs. Wilson was a fashionista and loved looking good. Her favorite pastime was watching wrestling. She enjoyed cooking, reading, doing cross word puzzles, and visiting family and friends. She loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Malka Davis; children, Charles Prysock and Tyrone Anthony Saunders; siblings, Leilia Sanders, Mary Lena Poole, and Billy Sanders.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her children, Ronald Prysock Newark, JNJ, Karen Eubanks of Mooresville, NC, and Kimberley Saunders of Allentown, PA; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; special nephews who were like sons, John Poole and Nathan Poole, both of Shelby, NC; two special friends, Sherise Armstrong and Gardenia Wilson; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at Shiloh Baptist Church at 11:30 a.m.
