Barbara Tarlton Crocker, 69, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at home.  Born in Brunswick, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Lee Roy and Edna Lucille Ellis Tarlton.  She is also preceded in death by a brother, William Leroy Tarlton and stepson, Ronnie Crocker.  Barbara was a member of Lafayette Street United Methodist Church.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister.

Barbara is survived by her husband, Billy R. Crocker; daughter, Sharon Renee Crocker of Shelby; sisters, Doris Williamson and husband Richard of Indian Land, SC and Joan Gettys and husband Flay of Belmont, NC; grandchildren, Faron Young and Landon Crocker of Shelby, Joshua Crocker of Clover, SC, Jake Crocker of Gastonia, NC; and several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life service will be held at 1:00pm on Thursday, March 14, 2012 at Lafayette Street United Methodist Church.  The Rev. Dr. Thomas R. Steagald will be officiating.  The family will receive friends from 12:00 – 1:00pm prior to the service at the church.  At other times the family will be at the home.
