Barney Paris Peeler III,

Barney Paris Peeler III, 76 of African Violet Lane, Lawndale, passed away peacefully in his home on Saturday, January 28, 2023.

Born in Cleveland County he was the only child of the late Barney Paris Peeler, Jr. and Edythe Mull Peeler.

Following his graduation from High Point University, Barney worked for FMC doing national and international chemical sales.

He later returned home to Bellwood where he proudly became president and owner of Peeler's African Violets.

Though violets kept him working hard, his hobbies, including: scuba diving progressing to cave diving, attaining his pilot's license, and riding Harleys kept him playing just as hard and making great friends along the way.

Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Nancy Whitworth Peeler; two sons, Garry Peeler of Lawndale and Ben Peeler of Shelby; stepdaughter, Amy Lamascus of Holly Springs; and four grandchildren, Carter Wix Peeler, Brenna Aspden, Veda Peeler, and Carsen Lamascus.

The family is beyond grateful for the special care we received through Hospice of Cleveland County and especially: Sierra, Stacey, and Heidi. Additional gratitude to ALL of the care providers we have encountered through the years.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 31, 2023 from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm at Kadesh Church Fellowship Hall.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, January 31, 2023 at 1:00 pm at Kadesh Church Cemetery with the Rev. Beth Osbahr and Rev. George Eubanks officiating.

Memorials may be made to Kadesh Church, c/o Angie Payne, 821 Belwood-Lawndale Road, Lawndale, NC 28090 or to Hospice Cleveland County, 951 Wendover Heights Drive, Shelby NC 28150.
